Over the years of doing this work, I realised this:

Sacred intimacy operates at a depth that most therapeutic modalities will never reach.

Many therapeutic modalities engage the body, but sacred intimacy also engages the erotic.

The erotic is probably the most activated and defended part of the human experience.

When the facilitator and client meet in the sexual field together, we reach a level of vulnerability and contact that simply isn’t available in other forms of work.

We feel more of our clients:
they feel more of us.

This is what makes the work so powerful.

But it also asks more of us as practitioners.
It asks us to commit to our own inner work,
to develop somatically,
and to cultivate a high level of biological and energetic self-awareness.

The practitioners who have the greatest impact are not the ones with the most knowledge or the longest list of trainings.

They are the ones who are the most resourced.
Who’s nervous systems are settled.
Who’s relationship to their own sexuality is open and undefended.

Because of that, they are able to transmit safety and genuine presence in a way that was biologically felt rather than simply performed.

This is how co-regulation works.
