THE MIDLINE WAVE

Continuing the exploration of the fluid system of the body

A 2-part tutorial:
1- An intro (11 min)
2- A guided practice (24 min)

Why?

The medicine of eros explores the relationship between our limited self and our more expanded self.

Our more limited self is the one that is affected and limited by the stories, patterns, narratives and trauma we have experienced in the past.
These shape our expectations of the future.

Our more expanded self is the one that is connected to our truth: that exists beyond the limitations.

In the body, the limitations exist as density that forms as a result of stress chemicals being produced in the face of stress and protective responses of the nervous system.

Our body also has a fluid system, which is composed of all the fluids that exist in our body:
This includes, the connective tissue, cerebrospinal-spinal fluid, all water, our blood, our sweat etc.

The fluid part of our body existed well before any density was ever formed in the face of fear or threat.

This class and practice will guide you to awaken this part of the body, so we can connect to the part of ourself that existed before these threats and fears affected us.

How?

The practice continues on from the previous class "Swallowing the snake" which awakened a connection to the waves in the spine and the fluid system of the body.

It guides us to use this connection and these waves in various ways, for instance:
- as a short practice
- as a longer practice by layering the practice elements over and over again
- by integrating them into another practice
- by integrating them into moments of our daily life.
